I have been asked by members of Fowler’s Lot to bring you up to date with what is happening with the so-called Eastern Relief Road (ERR).
As I am sure you are aware in 2015 West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC) issued their Local Plan to take the area of West Oxfordshire through to 2031 – this plan envisaged 600 houses on Tank Farm and no ERR. Unfortunately their local plan was turned down by Central Governement as not providing sufficient houses so the current plan of 1200-1400 in the so-called Chipping Norton Strategic Development Area (SDA – this is north and south of London Road) was concocted by WODC (probably with some encouragement from Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) which also included the ERR.
