Yes, it’s that time of the year when I am looking for volunteers to put the lights on our town Christmas trees. I need about 24 people willing to give up a few hours on two Sundays, one to dress the tress and the other to take the lights off.
Once again it is important to say, that if we do not get enough volunteers, so that the job is done quickly, then we will not be having any trees in the town.
The lights will go on the trees on Sunday 29th November, 9.30am at the Town Hall and will be taken off on Sunday 10th January 2016 starting at 9.30am.
I also need some help on Monday 30th November to take the trees around the town so that they can be erected. Start time 9.30am
As I need to know how many volunteers we have, I would be obliged, if you want to help, to contact the Town Council office 01608 642341 and let them know what Sundays you would like to do.
I am sure that everyone agrees that the town always looks attractive at Christmas, but it does not happen without the willing volunteers.
