Held once a year, the Annual Town Meeting is facilitated by the Town Council on behalf of the electorate. This is not a Council meeting, but an opportunity for residents to raise, and discuss matters affecting the town and to ask questions and express views about the year ahead.
Unfortunately, the Pandemic prevented face-to-face meetings from being able to go ahead between March and June, when it would usually be held, and therefore Chipping Norton Town Council have decided to host this year’s in October 2021.
The Mayor will open the meeting and Town Council committee chairs will present brief reports to let you know what the Council has been working on for the last year, and its future plans.
We also hope to have local groups and organisations with information stalls at the Town Hall. If you are interested please get in touch with us.
Residents are encouraged to take part in the public question session. If you have any questions you would like to raise it would be helpful if they could be submitted in advance of the meeting. Submit your questions by letter or email to the Town Clerk: townclerk@chippingnorton-tc.gov.uk
After the formal agenda and questions there will be an opportunity to discuss local issues in small groups and present ideas back.
The agenda will be published on our website, noticeboards and on our social media pages.
