Upcoming Art Workshops in Chipping Norton – Join the Creative Journey!

Chipping Norton is set to embark on a vibrant and community-driven art project that invites residents of all ages to participate. We are excited to announce two upcoming free workshops that will give you the chance to contribute to a unique public art installation in our beloved town.

Workshop Details:

These workshops are an opportunity for everyone to get involved in the creative process. Participants will use water-based paint pens to create drawings and illustrations that reflect the theme: “What does Community and Chipping Norton mean to you?”

Whether you are an experienced artist or just looking to have fun, your contribution will help shape a beautiful mural that will grace the windows of our historic Town Hall.

The project is being led by Luke Embden, a talented local artist known for his engaging community projects and vibrant public art installations. Luke’s work often involves creating visual stories that resonate with local culture and identity. His approach ensures that every voice in the community is heard and represented, making this mural a true reflection of Chipping Norton.

In addition to the in-person workshops, we are also exploring the possibility of hosting an online workshop to make this creative process even more accessible. If you think an online option would be useful, please let us know!

Funding for the Project

This exciting initiative is being made possible through Section 106 developer funding, specifically allocated for public art in Chipping Norton. These funds have been set aside to enhance our town’s cultural landscape, and this mural project is a perfect example of how art can bring people together and enrich our shared spaces.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to be part of something special in Chipping Norton. We look forward to seeing you at one of the workshops!
